Last week GCU along with University of Glasgow and Strathclyde sections of Erasmus Student Network organised a typical Scottish night for all international and exchange students at Strathclyde Union.

Promoting of local culture is one of our priorities, we want to make sure our exchange students get the most of their time in Scotland by introducing them to the local customs and traditions. Ceilidh is one of those events that are always very popular... What is Ceilidh? Ceilidh is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering. In its most basic form, it simply means a social visit. But in contemporary usage, it usually involves playing Gaelic folk music, either at a house party or a larger concert at a social hall or other community gathering place.

Make sure you join us for the next Ceilidh event next semester!
